College Building

The Building of Gautam College of Pharmacy is a state-of-the-art educational and research hub located at Ward No 10 Midle Gaura Near Inter State Bus Terminus of Hamirpur City. the historic University at Buffalo South Campus. The College was established in 2019 with 60 intake capacity for each of D. Pharm & B. Pharm courses.

The institute has adequate facilities as per the requirement of PCI & Affiliating bodies. Institute is equipped with adequate infrastructure to conduct postgraduate courses in pharmacy. The infrastructure is spread across four floors with built-up area of about 7000 Square Meter.

Classrooms

Separate classrooms are available for conducting the D. Pharm, B.Pharm and PG classes. These classrooms are equipped for digital display of teaching learning methodologies.

Every lecture hall is fitted with a writing board and has a comfortable sitting capacity for 60 students. The classrooms are fully equipped with latest audio-visual teaching tools to facilitate smooth transfer of the knowledge.

Staff Room

Institute has constructed separate well lit- well ventilated faculty room with individual seating arrangements for faculty. Intercom, Internet and Computer facilities are also provided in the faculty room. Individual cabins are provided to senior faculty and HOD.

The College is well-equipped with technologically sound laboratories to provide a high level of practical education to its students. All the laboratories of respective departments (Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacognosy) are specifically designed with excellent facilities to meet the requirements of P.C.I. New and advanced instruments are added to the laboratories each year thus keeping them self-contained with high end chemicals, instruments, equipments and glassware.

The Machine Room houses machines required for different Unit Operations simulating with unit operations of a Pharmaceutical Industry. Each machine have separate platform with Standard Operating Procedure. , rotary tablets manufacturing machine, ointment filling machine, tablet coating pan, collapsible tube crimping machine, mixers, dryers and other equipments.

Computer Laboratory

Computer lab is equipped with more than 50 computing facility with unrestricted internet access with bandwidth 100 Mbps, for students and staff to refer the online resources for curricular and co-curricular needs.

Library

A well stocked Library is constructed on ground floor of the institute. There are separate sections available in library such as administration and book issue section, reading section, reference section, journal section & E-Library.

All the books are segregated subject wise and arranged in properly labeled shelves & cupboards. All the books are given accession number. The reference books and boos for issue-return is stored separately.

The latest volumes and issues of the subscribed journals are displayed in library in journals section. Old volumes and issues of the hard copy of the journals are hard bound every year and labeled and the separate register is maintained for the tracking, issues and return record.

Library is equipped e-learning resources, book bank and reprographic facilities.

Museum

Museum is established at the first floor of institute for display of models and information on various aspects of pharmacy.

Marketed drug formulations such as tablets, liquid dosage forms, ointments, capsules, powder, nasal spray, cosmetics, anatomy models, photos/charts of medicinal plants and containers are displayed in museum so that students, faculty, and visitors can refer /see these informative displayed contents.

Instrumentation Facility

The Pharmaceutical Sciences Shared Instrumentation Facility (Central Instrument Room) is a core laboratory that provides access for students, staff and faculty of the college to state-of-the-art instrumentation. The facility houses a variety of instruments for analysis of drugs by Chromatography, fluorescence, infrared & spectroscopy instruments.

Model Pharmacy

This is a multi-use space for community and hospital-based pharmaceutical activities. In this simulated real-life working environment students perform counseling from the counter, handling & dispensing of prescriptions, packaging, order intake and processing.
